Thanks for your comment. I'm interested to see how these karma systems would evolve.

MediaTemple uses clever marketing, at their website, in their productnames, everywhere. Just like everybody says iPod and not Ipod, (mt) customers say (mt) MediaTemple and not just MediaTemple. I'm not sure how they do it but they have this coolness factor (IMO) which makes you want to use their name correct.

Interesting insight.

It kinda baffles me to hear that (gs) CP wasn't made to support multiple domains. After all, most people who would go for a grid server most certainly have more than one domain.

The support thing is a given really, every company does it like that.

Other than that, it's good to get some more insight into the workings of MediaTemple.

P.S.: Why is that, as soon as people become MT customers, they can't write the full company name (MediaTemple) anymore but all feel obliged to write it like:

(mt) MediaTemple

It's amazing, everywhere you read about (mt) it's written like that.

Are they brainwashing their clients?

Hey Marc,

I like it. I wonder if the karma system could be equally decentralized. I don't see why not - karma systems would evolve ways of staying reputable, and blogging software could query only those systems with a good reputation.
